Families enjoy meals ‘Cooked with Love’

Our new program, ‘Cooked with Love’, is helping keep families with a child in hospital fuelled to tackle their child’s health journey

Families with a child in hospital often face the challenge of spending money on cafeteria food.

However, thanks to the new program ‘Cooked with Love,’ they can now heat up delicious and nutritious meals, relieving some of the financial pressure and keeping them fuelled to tackle their child’s health journey.

Every fortnight, volunteers come into the House and create an array of mouth-watering meals. These meals are then made available to families using the J1 and NICU Family Rooms at John Hunter Children’s Hospital.

With more than 140 meals enjoyed each month, a bigger fridge was needed.

Thanks to The Bloomfield Group, who helped fund additional meals and two bigger fridges, our volunteers can keep them stocked with meals, giving families one less thing to worry about while their child is in hospital.

With your generosity, we can continue to help our Chapters expand their reach and ensure even more families are supported throughout the world.
